This is important because each individual has various activities that affect their sleep needs. The Department of Health explains that sleep is part of the body's biological rhythm that helps restore the body's strength. The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of age groups, gender, sleep quality components, and sleep quality frequency. This study is a descriptive observational study conducted at the Baiturahman Health Center in Banda Aceh and carried out in February 2025. The sample size in this study was 100 patients. The results showed that 39 respondents (39.0%) had good sleep quality, 36 respondents (36.0%) had a nighttime sleep duration of approximately 5 to 6 hours, and 40 respondents (40.0%) experienced difficulty falling asleep within 30 minutes. Sleep efficiency of 75-84% was recorded in 47 respondents (47.0%). Additionally, sleep disturbances with a score of 1 were reported by 60 people (60.0%). 92 respondents (92.0%) stated they had never used sleep medication. Meanwhile, 38 people (38.0%) showed daytime activity disturbances with a score of 1. Recommendations to the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) institution to further enhance efforts in providing information to the public about the importance of maintaining patient sleep quality to avoid illness.
Said Aandy Saida Edy Cahyadi Rozatul Husna Rizkidawati Rizkidawati Nanda Desreza Copyright (c) 2025 Said Aandy Saida, Edy Cahyadi, Rozatul Husna, Rizkidawati, Nanda Desreza* https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-08-19 2025-08-19 4 4 161 168 10.55047/tires.v4i4.1880 Evaluation of Embryo Transfer Pregnancy in Beef Cattle https://ojs.transpublika.com/index.php/TIRES/article/view/1902
Embryo transfer is one of the reproductive biotechnologies that enables rapid and controlled improvement in genetic quality and livestock populations. This technology allows embryos resulting from fertilisation in superior donor cows to be implanted into recipient cows, thereby producing offspring with high genetic potential without reducing the reproductive capacity of the donor cows. This study aims to evaluate the success of embryo transfer (ET) in beef cattle and the factors influencing the birth rate of calves resulting from ET in Lamongan District. Embryo transfer is a promising assisted reproductive technology for accelerating genetic improvement in beef cattle. The research method used in this study is a literature review employing a quantitative descriptive approach. The study was conducted on community-owned embryo transfer farms in Lamongan District over two months, using eight beef cattle as recipients. Data collection methods involved obtaining data from secondary sources related to embryo transfer outcomes at community-owned embryo transfer farms in Lamongan District. The variable in the study was pregnancy rate. The results showed that the pregnancy rate reached 50%, consistent with the general success range for ET (40–70%). All pregnancies were achieved through embryo placement in the upper third of the uterine horn and natural oestrus synchronisation. However, all pregnancies ended in abortion during the second trimester (4–6 months of age). The main identified causes include unverified embryo quality, genetic incompatibility, environmental stress, micronutrient deficiencies, and inadequate post-transfer management. The evaluation showed farmers had varying education and experience, but lacked sufficient technical training.
Elrois Ngongo Mohamad Nurul Akhadiyah Afrila Copyright (c) 2025 Elrois Ngongo*, Mohamad Nurul, Akhadiyah Afrila https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-08-19 2025-08-19 4 4 169 178 10.55047/tires.v4i4.1902 The Relationship Between Family Support with Self-Care for People with Diabetes Mellitus https://ojs.transpublika.com/index.php/TIRES/article/view/1939
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that requires long-term management, and family support plays an important role in helping patients perform self-care. This study aimed to determine the relationship between family support and self-care in people with diabetes mellitus. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, the study involved a population of 147 diabetes mellitus patients, with 60 respondents selected through the Slovin Formula. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed with the Chi-Square test. The findings showed a significant relationship between family support and self-care in people with diabetes mellitus (P-value = 0.001). Patients who received high levels of family support were more disciplined in controlling their diet, engaging in physical activity, maintaining personal hygiene, and adhering to medication. These results indicate that family support significantly influences self-care abilities in people with diabetes mellitus, and thus, health workers should involve families in diabetes management programs to improve the effectiveness of patient care. Family members can help monitor the patient's health, provide emotional support, and reinforce positive health behaviors, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes for the patient. Given these findings, healthcare providers should consider incorporating family-centered care into diabetes management programs to improve patient compliance, reduce the burden of disease, and enhance the overall quality of care.
Asnuddin Asnuddin Regidor III Dioso Copyright (c) 2025 Asnuddin*, Regidor III Dioso https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-09-19 2025-09-19 4 4 179 187 10.55047/tires.v4i4.1939 A Case Study of The Role of Ureter Tracking Reconstruction in Clinical Urology CT Scan Examination of Kidney Stones in the Radiology Installation of RSUD dr. Loekmono Hadi Kudus https://ojs.transpublika.com/index.php/TIRES/article/view/1959
This study aims to determine the clinical urology CT scan procedure for kidney stones, analyze the justification for employing ureteral tracking reconstruction, and evaluate the ideal slice thickness for achieving accurate diagnostic images. This research employed a descriptive qualitative methodology utilizing a case study technique in the Radiology Department of RSUD (Regional General Hospital) dr. Loekmono Hadi Kudus. The subjects comprised of three radiographers, one radiologist, one referring physician, and three CT scan images of the urology. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The data were subsequently studied through reduction, presentation, discussion, and conclusion formulation. The examination was conducted without any specific preparation, merely by consuming 500-750 ml of water and refraining from urinating. The patient was placed in a supine position, feet-first, with arms elevated above the head, exposing the area from the xiphoid process to the symphysis pubis. A 5 mm slice thickness was employed for axial imaging, while 1.5 mm was utilized for tracking reconstruction. The ureteral tracking technique offers an extensive visualization of the urinary tract, facilitating in the detection of stones and obstructions. A reduced slice thickness improves image clarity and elucidates anatomical details. The application of a thin slice thickness (≤1.5 mm) is essential for enhancing picture clarity, facilitating in the identification of small, and minimizing interpretative inaccuracies. Consequently, the use of ureteral tracking reconstruction with a thin slice thickness is highly recommended as a standard practice for urological CT scans in kidney stone cases.
Tisya Yin Daniya Fisnandya Meita Astari Widya Mufida Copyright (c) 2025 Tisya Yin Daniya*, Fisnandya Meita Astari, Widya Mufida https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-10-03 2025-10-03 4 4 188 203 10.55047/tires.v4i4.1959 The Impact of Visitors and Domestic Waste on Water Quality and Fish Ecosystems in the Cirahab Water Source in Curuggoong Village, Padarincang District, Serang Regency, Banten https://ojs.transpublika.com/index.php/TIRES/article/view/2020
Detergent is a product that has a function as a dirt remover on clothes when washing, detergent is thrown away excessively in the waters it will have a bad impact on aquatic biota, such as fish, aquatic plants, or organisms that live in water, besides that it will also reduce the O2 levels in the water, damage organs in fish and death in fish due to detergent pollution. The more the level of detergent pollution in the water, the more severe the death of the aquatic biota, and vice versa, the lower the level of pollution, the better the life of the aquatic biota there. Pollution is also one of the disruptors in the respiration process in the ecosystem in it so that the ecosystem will be disturbed by the amount of pollution from tourists and the domestic waste they bring. This research was conducted qualitatively using observational and experimental methods to measure detergent levels in the waters. The parameters examined were water temperature, pH, chemical content, and the fish present in the Cirahab waters. The results showed very high detergent concentrations, with plastic waste, bottles, and food waste from visitors scattered throughout the Cirahab waters. This disrupted the aquatic ecosystem and threatened the survival of aquatic life, including fish. Fish experienced respiratory problems, including gill damage, and even mass mortality in the Cirahab waters.
Hermawan Hermawan Wulan Sari Handayani Yeni Haerani Copyright (c) 2025 Hermawan*, Wulan Sari Handayani, Yeni Haerani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-12-22 2025-12-22 4 4 204 210 10.55047/tires.v4i4.2020
