Although platforms such as Edpuzzle are encouraged for improving English listening skills and have been studied in relation to listening assessment and comprehension, few studies have examined how junior high school students in Indonesia perceive their practicality, interface, effectiveness for material comprehension, and role in motivation. This research aims to fill that gap by examining student views on Edpuzzle’s practicality, interface, effectiveness for material comprehension, and motivational role among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Malang. This study utilized a mix method design. To collect data, the researchers used a set of questionnaires and interview that were adopted from previous studies and modified to narrow the focus of the results. The questionnaires contain 10 statements and are distributed to students. The data were analyzed, put into tables, and summarized in percentages and description form. The results of the analysis show that more than 80% of the students show positive feedback across the practical, interface, material comprehension, and motivational aspect regarding the use of Edpuzzle website as a learning media to improve students’ listening skills on the study implication. The findings contribute evidence on students’ perceptions of Edpuzzle in a junior high school setting, which can help teachers evaluate and improve their use of the platform in the classroom and serve as a resource for future researchers.
