Data Availability
Review of Multidisciplinary Education, Culture and Pedagogy is committed to promoting transparency, research integrity, and reproducibility by ensuring that the availability of the research data behind published findings is clearly stated.
Data Availability Statement
Every manuscript submitted to ROMEO must include a Data Availability section (see the Manuscript Template, “Declarations and Supplementary Sections”). Authors must clearly state whether the data supporting the findings of the study are:
- publicly available (for example, in a repository or from a public source such as the Indonesia Stock Exchange or Badan Pusat Statistik);
- available from the authors upon reasonable request; or
- subject to ethical, legal, privacy, commercial, or institutional restrictions.
The statement must accurately describe the actual availability of the data and any conditions or restrictions on access. Where data cannot be made publicly available, the relevant restrictions must be stated, for example confidentiality agreements with respondents or companies, or the terms of a data provider.
Examples
Upon request: The data that support the findings of this study are available from the corresponding author [A.B.] upon reasonable request.
Repository: The dataset analyzed in this study is openly available in [Repository Name] at https://doi.org/10.xxxx/xxxxx.
Public sources: The data were obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (www.idx.co.id) and are publicly available. The processed dataset is available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
Authors are encouraged to deposit their data in a recognized repository and to cite it with a persistent identifier (such as a DOI) where possible.
Author Responsibility and Reproducibility
Authors are responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the research data and analyses reported in their manuscript. By submitting a manuscript, the authors confirm that:
- the manuscript includes a Data Availability statement that accurately reflects the real availability of the data;
- they have appropriate access to the research data needed to support the submitted work;
- they accept responsibility for the correctness of the data analysis; and
- they have the authority to prepare and submit the manuscript for publication.
The purpose of data availability is to make the verification and reproducibility of published research possible, subject to applicable ethical, legal, privacy, and institutional requirements.
Requests by the Journal
The journal may ask authors to provide the underlying data, or other supporting documents, during peer review or after publication when needed to verify the findings or to examine a concern. Failure to provide the data, or a statement that does not reflect the real availability of the data, may be handled under the journal’s Research Misconduct and Post-Publication Policy and Publication Ethics.
Related Policies
See also Research Ethics for consent, privacy, and anonymization of participants and organizations, and the Author Guidelines for the full list of required declarations.
